Causes of Hair Loss
Hair loss problems are very common throughout the world especially in male population which represent the great majority of all hair loss cases. The extent of hair loss and age of men affected by baldness greatly vary although the initial pattern of hair loss in men begins between 20 and 30 years of age. In men most common cause of hair loss and thinning hair is overproduction of DHT, a sex hormone what is known as androgenic alopecia. The male pattern baldness usually starts at the forehead (receding hairline) and the crown and slowly progressing. Hair loss that is a result of stress, malnutrition, diseases or medications usually resolves on itself after eliminating its cause. In contrary to men there is no female pattern hair loss, while the main cause of hair thinning in women is hereditary factor.
